Addison Dieterich M.S.
I am a Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy, pursuing my LMFT license in Virginia. I received my M.S. in Human Development-Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech. I received my bachelor’s in psychology from Westminster College (PA).
Currently I am providing therapy services via telehealth for Families, Couples, Adults, and Children in the Northern Virginia Region. However, you do not have to be from Northern Virginia to receive therapy services, as Telehealth allows me to provide therapy to anyone living in Virginia.
I work with clients seeking support for a variety of reasons. These reasons can include, family relationship distress (parent-child, siblings, etc.), anxiety, depression, trauma, and other relationship issues. I also specialize in working with children and families who have encountered DSS/CPS involvement and assist in navigating the impact of the experience.
I tend to work from several theoretical orientations, though I am mostly drawn to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Structural Family Therapy. I am clinically trained in family systems, and value systems approach. This allows me to assess and think deeply about how relationships within my clients’ lives impact them daily.
In my free time, I enjoy playing with my Golden Retriever, spending time with friends and family, and watching food network.
